Schools in many cases do not have careers teaching at the top of their agenda. Teaching is very demanding in the secondary schools I know, and there is little time for promoting careers in detail for students to learn about our profession which is generally a rewarding one. ICE should get a the best profile in the media as possible, members and graduates should get into schools and tell of their experience and prospects. Once being in a professional development part-time post for graduates, I know most enjoyed the experience, and considered it enhanced their success at their CPR.
