Network Rail is to complete the second phase of its M62 Castleton bridge replacement this weekend.

The M62 motorway near Rochdale will undergo two full weekend closures starting this weekend as Network Rail’s £22M bridge replacement at Castleton gets underway.

Network Rail is investing more than £20M to rebuild a major railway bridge that takes trains over the M62 in Castleton, near Rochdale.

Overnight closures of the M62 Ouse Bridge in the East Riding of Yorkshire resume tonight, 25 September, as the extensive work to replace the defective bridge joints across the carriageway continues.
