Prime minister Keir Starmer has confirmed the Great British Energy (GBE) headquarters (HQ) will be located in Aberdeen with two satellite sites serving the HQ in Edinburgh and Glasgow.

The Great British Energy Bill has passed through parliament with a majority of 253 where MPs voted 348 to 95 in favour.

Plans for a publicly owned power company headquartered in Scotland and backed by £8.3bn capitalisaion have been made official through the Great British Energy Bill, which will “help accelerate investment in renewable energy”.
